It Spread like Wildfire

This map depicts the location of my entire Pinterest collection. For the above artwork, I targeted each incidence of Peace, similar to those one might see to map out an explosion, attack, or warsite. I then expanded the target zone to the area “effected” by the target. Each circular “effected area” only goes as far to encompass the closest target site. Noticing the overlap and the surface area covered by the “effected zones,” most of the globe is covered by Peace. This worldwide epidemic of Peace might just cause infection in the near future. |
This Pinterest collection shows examples of works inspired by the concept of Peace, a global concern. The collection features 25 works, from 5 different states and 14 different countries, all exploring the idea of Peace on a personal, local, and global scale.

Today’s world is overrun by war, racism, and violence, but by engaging students in global concepts of Peace and tolerance, I believe we are creating students that can change the world.
